The frame drum, traditionally used in ceremonies and rituals across cultures, is one of the oldest known musical instruments, believed by some to be the very first of its kind. It carries a deep connection to rhythm, intention, and healing.

Our Vegan Shamanic frame drums (also known as medicine drums) are constructed using a ring and rope system on a sturdy, wooden frame.
Instead of animal hide, they’re skinned with high-quality synthetic leather, offering a powerful, earthy resonance without the use of animal products.

Can I play it with my hands or just the beater?

Is the drum frame also vegan?

Are these drums weather-resistant?
Yes! One of the advantages of synthetic leather is its stability in different climates. Unlike natural hide, it doesn’t tighten or loosen as much with changes in humidity or temperature.
