Description

The Frame Drum is one of the oldest known musical instruments; it is reputed by some to be the first skin drum to exist. They are used across the world on all kinds of ceremonies and other occasions.

Our shamanic frame drums / medicine drums are constructed using a ring and rope system on a sturdy, wooden frame.
They are skinned with goat hide for a deep, primal resonance.

Each goat skin is naturally processed to preserve its oils and flexibility. As with human skin, no two are alike – variations in colour, texture, and markings are part of what makes every drum unique.

Made by Hand: Care Instructions
Each drum is handcrafted using natural materials, giving it its unique character and sound. Natural movement in the skin and frame can occur with changes in temperature and humidity. If the drum becomes too hot the skin will contract too far, placing strain on the frame and handle. Please keep your drum in a temperate space and avoid prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight.
