Small vegan round baskets are full of character and charm, offering a beautiful leather free alternative for everyday use. Woven in a compact round shape, they are available in a range of colours from bright and playful to soft, natural and earthy tones. Their lightweight size makes them especially suited as children’s baskets, small market companions or thoughtful handmade gifts.
Each basket is handwoven from sustainably sourced elephant grass that grows in the flood plains surrounding the village of Bolgatanga in Northern Ghana. The grass is soft yet durable, locally harvested and coloured using non toxic dyes. This same traditional weaving approach is also reflected in our larger formats, including medium Bolga baskets and large Bolga baskets, where scale allows the craftsmanship to take on a different presence.
For more than two decades, we have worked closely with the local weaving community, supporting families and preserving a rich artistic tradition that continues to be passed from one generation to the next.
