This is mudcloth at its fullest scale. At 255 x 185cm, it drapes across a Queen or King bed or mounts as a feature wall hanging, with the bold geometric patterns and earthy tones of Bògòlanfini given full room to make an impact.
Mudcloth is hand-dyed in Mali using fermented river mud and plant-based tannins, a process that fixes the characteristic dark tones and reveals the patterns once the excess mud is washed away. No two pieces come out the same.
Bashiri has sourced mudcloth directly from Mali since 1997, selecting every XL piece for depth of tone and pattern strength.
