Who are the weavers of your baskets?
These baskets are woven in Bolgatanga, Northern Ghana, by Frafra weavers using elephant grass from the White Volta flood plains. Weaving is a family and community craft, with techniques learned over years of practice.

Each basket is made by one person from start to finish, and that work supports livelihoods within the weaving communities.
Small differences in shape and finish are part of the handmade process.
