This Brighton basket is one of Bashiri’s premium pieces, woven from elephant grass (veta vera) by a Frafra weaver in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region, Ghana. Its double weave, two layers through the body instead of one, gives it a fine, tightly detailed finish and an elegant, striking shape.
