African masks, statues, and artifacts from West and Central Africa, sourced directly from their region of origin. The collection covers African masks from Burkina Faso, Gabon, Ivory Coast, and Ghana; African statues in bronze and hardwood from Mali, Nigeria, and beyond; Dogon doors with dense ancestral carving; Senufo and Bamileke stools; and Songye shields, hand-carved from solid timber. Most pieces come from ceremonial and ritual traditions. Some are contemporary works, still made using the same carving and casting methods, but by individual makers working with creative rather than ceremonial intent. We only select pieces with genuine materials, regional origin, and craftsmanship that holds up under close inspection.

Every handcrafted piece in our collection is sourced directly from artisans and traders across West and Central Africa.
The majority of our African masks, statues, and artifacts originate from Burkina Faso, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mali, Gabon, and Nigeria, including Malian masks, Ghanaian carvings, and handmade artifacts from Burkina Faso.
We prioritise pieces made in their region of origin, using timber and materials local to that region, and techniques passed down through generations.
We don’t source mass-produced copies or pieces made outside their cultural context.
Yes. We source authentic African masks, statues, and artifacts through established relationships with traders and artisans who work directly with crafting communities across West and Central Africa.
Making handcrafted pieces for trade is a long-standing tradition in these regions, and the cultural and ritual heritage embedded in the forms, designs, and techniques is very much part of what makes them significant.
We approach sourcing with respect for that heritage, and buying authentic African art supports the makers and their communities directly.
Minimal intervention is best. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
If the wood looks dry, a light application of natural oil (beeswax or linseed) can help maintain the surface. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, polishes, or anything that could strip the natural finish.
Part of what makes these pieces beautiful is how they age, so resist the urge to over-treat them.
Bronze pieces can be wiped clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth, and any patina that develops is a sign of genuine bronze.
We take great care packing and sending everything in this collection.
These are fragile and often rare pieces, so they’re packed to arrive in the same condition as when they left Africa.
Larger pieces like Dogon doors and shields get extra attention given their size.
Shipping costs and delivery timeframes are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $90.
