African Jewellery

We work closely with local artists who use time honoured techniques and organic materials such as seeds, pods, husks, bone and horn. From intricately layered African beads to expressive African necklaces featuring striking pendants, every design carries meaning and intention. Many bead strands are also worn as waist beads, known throughout Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal as symbols of femininity, fertility, sensuality and spiritual wellbeing.

Alongside jewellery, these materials and techniques continue across other wearable forms, including traditional headwear such as Bolga hats, where craftsmanship and cultural identity remain at the heart of each piece. Our collection includes carnelians, trade beads, millefiori and chevron beads, each chosen for their history, character and enduring beauty.
