Description
An African Bakota mask that originates from Ghana and has been handcrafted by a tribesman from the Bakota tribe.
A Bakota mask is used for festivity and celebration. The Bakota Mask has the significance of Kingship, a ceremonial tribal mask representing the longevity and reign of the King.
The wood used is Sese wood which is then dyed and polished to give the Bakota mask a smooth clean feel.
Metallic inlay and fine bead work is often used creatively to add to the facade design.
