People just can’t get enough of our African hats!
Ethically sourced and made with an earthy chic design style, our narrow brim bolga hats mold to your head easily (with water) for extra comfort. Just soak them for a minute of so, shake off the excess water and press it onto your head. Wait for it to dry, and the job is done! Based on a fedora style hat, they’re suited to all head sizes from kids up to large adults. We use natural tan coloured grass as the design base and lots of cool colours and patterns woven through. Our African hats are hand-woven from the sustainably sourced elephant grass that grows in the rich flood plains around the village of Bolgatanga in Ghana, West Africa. The soft malleable grass is 100% locally sourced and the dyes we use to colour the baskets are 100% non toxic. Our narrow brim hats come without a strap. We have been working with the local weaving community for 2 decades and support several families in their artistic weaving tradition.
