Hand-woven from the elephant grass which grows in the rich flood plains of the White Volta near the village of Bolgatanga, Northern Ghana. Fully malleable and easy to reshape, simply immerse in water for a few minutes and adjust while wet. We include a care and shaping guide to keep your basket looking its best.
Bolga baskets are hand woven from elephant grass and the leather handles are significant in making them sturdier.
Our vegan baskets are more delicate because they’re missing the leather enforcement, so we recommend using them carefully and to avoid carrying heavy items. This is especially true for the large vegan baskets.
