how To find your bolga hat size
Measure your head
Wrap a soft tape measure (or a piece of string) around your head where you’d like the hat to rest.
Check the fit
The tape should sit comfortably around your head, firm enough to stay in place but not tight.
Note the measurement in centimetres once it feels right.
Match your size
Use the sizing chart to find the woven hat that fits you best.
Think about whether you like a close, firm fit or a more easy-going feel.
Optional: You can mention your head measurement in the Notes section at checkout.
The photo in this section is a guide only; Your Bolga hat design is shown above.

How do I check my size in the Bolga hat chart?
Measure around your head where the hat will sit, just above your ears and eyebrows.
Then match your measurement with the chart. If you’re between two sizes, it’s best to choose the larger one for comfort.
Do you have other styles of Bolga hats?
Our collection also includes Narrow brim Bolga hats, Hightop hats, and Fulani hats, a ceremonial style from the Wodaabe people of West Africa.
Each piece is handwoven in Ghana.
Who makes the Bolga hats, and how are they supported?
Our Bolga hats are woven in Bolgatanga, Ghana, by skilled artisans who carry generations of weaving knowledge.
We’ve worked with many of the same families for decades, trading directly and consistently so that their craft can sustain livelihoods.
